Q. How do we book you for our wedding?
A. To book a wedding please contact us to check availability in the first instance. If I am available on the date you require then a non-refundable deposit of £250.00 will secure the booking. The booking will remain provisional until the deposit is received and you have received written notification from us confirming your booking.

The remainder of the balance must be paid in full no later than one month before the wedding day or your booking may no longer be secure.

Q. Do you have insurance?
A. Yes, I hold both professional indemnity and public liability insurance.

Q. Do you work outside Lincoln?
A. Yes, however an additional charge for my travelling and any necessary overnight accommodation expenses will apply. Further details are available on request.

Q. Is there a contract
A. I have a simple contract which will need to be completed at the time of booking, this ensures that there is no misunderstanding between the couple and myself on the agreed terms and conditions.

I personally recommend you take out wedding insurance and have written contracts with all your suppliers etc.

Q. Are you a full-time professional photographer?
A. Yes, as a professional photographer I take wedding and portrait photography very seriously and work extremely hard to ensure your photographs and wedding album reflect this.

Q. What are the advantages of hiring a professional photographer?
A. A professional photographer has all the correct equipment for every situation that can occur at a wedding. He or she will arrive at your wedding promptly and produce a first class service to you and on time.

A professional will use a colour laboratory that is in the business of meeting high professional standards of print quality.

Q. Do you offer a pre-wedding / engagement photo session?
A. Yes, If you book me to photograph your wedding I will arrange a pre-wedding shoot for you for a small additional charge to your wedding package. However, some packages we offer include this service for free.

Q. What happens if, for unforeseeable circumstances you are unable to attend on the day?
A. Since being a professional photographer this has never happened, but of course it is a possibility and a valid concern for you.

If for some unforeseen reason I could not attend I would endeavour to arrange for one of my colleagues to attend in my absence. However if this is not possible then liability shall be limited to a full refund of the monies paid.

Q. How long will you stay with us on our wedding day?
A. I will stay normally on until a little after the first dance, or fireworks if there are any (depending on package ordered).

Q. Do you photograph more than one wedding in a day?
A. I only photograph one wedding on any given day.

Q. How many photographs will you take?
A. No fixed number for this question - I normally take about 800 - 1000 images depending on the day and how many guests, pictures required etc.

Q. Can I have some pictures in black and white in addition to colour?
A. Yes, you decide what you want at no extra charge.

Q. What if I don't like my photograph being taken?
A. I know how to bring out the best in you by putting you at ease and to make the photography fun. This should not be a concern that you need to worry about.

Q. What happens if the weather conditions are poor on our wedding day?
A. I will shoot as much as practically possible outdoors - weather permitting. Wedding reception venues will often have indoor space to set up flash lighting if required. I always carry my studio lighting with me to make the best of the situation for you.

Q. We want something fun but our parents want the traditional poses - Can you do both?
A. Yes, I enjoy taking the informal portraits and candid shots, but I am able to please other tastes with the traditional wedding photography.

Q. What sort of albums do you offer?
A. I offer both traditional and modern, along with the new digitally created storybook albums.

Q. When do we receive the final album?
A.
Once I have received your final approval of proposed layout and which photographs you would like, the album typically takes up to 6 weeks to be ready. In the case of special albums this time may be extended - you will be advised accordingly if this is the case.

Q. Can we order additional albums?
A. Yes, many couples decided to buy additional albums, perhaps for both parents or for a special friend. These do not need to be in the same style or size of the main album.

Q. How will our parents & friends be able to choose their pictures?
A. All images are placed on our website for your guests to see within 21 days after your wedding. They can then make their selection and purchase online.

Q. What happens if I want a reprint, several years from now?
A. You just contact David Lowerson Photography - All the files / images are kept indefinitely.
